GA - The Bobby Jones family launched bobbyjones.com on November 3,
a web site that is dedicated to the life and history of Bobby Jones.
According to the Bobby
Jones family spokesman Marty Elgison, the site will be a haven for
all that are interested in the life of Bobby Jones. "We've
created a destination location for the individual seeking to learn
about the legacy of Bobby Jones. The site will be easy to navigate
and offer an in-depth biographical section as well as covering Bobby
Jones' playing record and his 1930 Grand Slam. Additionally, we've
incorporated a photography gallery and a place to purchase books
and videos relating to Bobby Jones' life." Elgison went on
to say, "The site will also function as a link to our licensees:
Bobby Jones Apparel, Golf Links to the Past and Callaway Golf allowing
individuals the opportunity to explore authorized licensed product
created and marketed by our partners." In closing he stated,
"I believe that bobbyjones.com will allow the global community
of golf greater access to the life and accomplishments of Bobby
Jones -- affording all a means to examine the legacy of this great
