Ireland's first ever lenticular (moving image) stamps were issued on the 14 September 2006 featuring a drive and classic bunker escape. Previously these stamps were limited to two-three frames but technology advances allowed these stamps to show fifty frames of finer lenticular images. The stamps were produced by a New Zealand company (Outer Aspect) and an Australian company (SEPSprint) to print them such is the specialist nature of the processes required. They were printed in pairs and 500,000 were produced.
