The
Golfing Union of Ireland's official magazine, "GOLFING",
is now on the shelves. The magazine, published
by Walton Media, is a bumper 96 pages, packed
with news, reviews, previews, pro-tips, sport psychology, the history
of the game and much more. The magazine
is compiled by some of the country's top golf correspondents,
including Philip Reid, Dermot Gilleece, Charlie Mulqueen, Colm
Smith, and Shane O'Donoghue and has one
of the largest distributions of any golf magazine
in Ireland. Linton Walsh, of Walton Media,
was delighted to announce the launch of 'Golfing'
- The Official Magazine of the Golfing Union of Ireland. He
said: "With the GUI distributing over
7,000 copies to every golf club and a further
8,000 copies available to buy in all leading newsagents, it promises
to be the Number One golf magazine in Ireland, which is read
by more Irish golfers than any other magazine."
He added: "The magazine has 96 pages of unique content
covering everything from the rising stars of Irish amateur golf, general
club news, sports psychology, ILGU news, and specially commissioned
articles such as such history of golf and
interviews with international golf stars including Seve
Ballesteros. "There is truly
something for everybody and a must for all golf enthusiasts.
It has been received incredible well by Irish advertisers,
which reflects the niche in the market where
it will be placed." The President of
the Golfing Union of Ireland, Jack Lynch, said: "We are
delighted to launch the first edition of this year's GUI Magazine
which provides us with the opportunity of
reporting and preview all the National and
Provincial Championships throughout the year, and providing many other
articles of general interest to golfers."
