Travers (Tramore,
Muskerry, Dun Laoghaire (1914-1932))
Born Wethersfield,
Essex 1884 where he learned his golf at Clacton-on-Sea Golf
Club reaching plus 2 as an amateur.
He was professional
at Tramore GC 1909-1912 leaving to join Muskerry after the sea
flooded the Tramore course. After Muskerry he moved to Dun Laoghaire
in 1914.
He was recognised
as a clubmaker of some renown and his ability to replicate an
existing club was considered very much his forte.
