Harry Hamill: Born Portrush c.1883

(Royal Portrush Golf Club c.1900-1905, Ormeau 1905-1924 and again in 1927-1928 when the club was unhappy with the services of Leo Wallace, his replacement. Moving to Belvoir Park, 1930-1932, Bangor 12 March 1924- Feb. 1925). Hamill was a "good golfer" or at least good enough to be Sandy Herd's equal over the first eighteen holes in a 1902 exhibition match (77-77) only to be outplayed over the next eighteen (70-73).

From May 1919 Hamill was allowed - "to go to Greenisland two days per month", according to the Ormeau centenary brochure.
