Archie Simpson

The Royal Dublin golf club lists Archie Simpson as their first professional although they don't make it clear how long he stayed in the job which appears to have been more of a secondment as he remained attached to Carnoustie. It is believed he arrived on 9 January 1886 while the club was still playing out of the Phoenix Park so his tenure was likely to have been short..
